Sally is a young black lab mix. Probably not even a year old. She is of average size. Sally likes to jump after the hose, so will likely be a candidate for further water activities. She will need obedience training. Sally is a smart cookie and will learn with consistent repetition. She is a very sweet girl with a lot of potential. Sally may do better with older children as due to her size, she may inadvertently, not intentionally, knock little ones over. Lucky Lab Rescue encourages you to seek out positive reinforcement behavior training. Sally has a little black spot on her tongue, which brings up an interesting fact...there are over 35 breeds of dogs that can have spotted to black tongues, including labradors. Sally is truly a gorgeous, sweet girl and will be a fantastic pet for someone willing to mold her in a positive manner. She just hasn't had that chance yet. It is a very rewarding experience to watch a dog's personality and demeanor unfold in the twelve weeks or so that it takes for them to realize they are in their forever home as they see something for the first time, or that moment they consistently get "sit" or when you see their joy at discovering a plastic swimming pool filled with water for the first time. It is truly an amazing experience. Please inquire about Sally as we continue to learn more about her.
Sally is altered, microchipped and has been kept on heartworm and flea and tick preventative. If you would like to give her a forever home please complete our on line application and list Sally in the notes section
