Up for adoption: Willow-Girl. She can be adopted Texas. Look at this cutie!

This pup was rescued during the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey. She's about one year old and weighs about 58 lbs. She just LOVES people, she can be a little shy of men first, then warms right up. Willow-Girl wags her tail at people on a walk and wants to go over and great them.

Willow-Girl is an absolutely fantastic dog! Her favorite things are cuddling and food time. She will do a silly dance when she hears the food come out!

Willow-Girl loves toys and playing tug, going on walks but her absolute favorite thing is cuddling on the couch! She is a real cuddle bug and would be so happy to lay with/near you as much as possible!

She LOVES being outside. She can self-entertain for hours outside. A home with a backyard and doggie door would be SO GREAT! She loves flipping her toys upside down and staring at them and she loves shifting around patio furniture. It's sort of nuts but like she literally has the time of her life.

She is potty trained, crate trained and has done very well alone for long hours.

Her foster mom actually fences her into the living room right now when she leaves because Willow just hangs out on the couch or in her crate. She is medium energy and very respectful of her home and her foster Mom. She knows how to sit, she doesn't chew things she shouldn't, she will happily play and go on walks but at home, she likes to hang out, sniff around and cuddle!

Willow-Girl prefers to be the only dog in the house and in her world. She loves her two-legged people and isn't sharing with any other four-legged pooches.

She does love, however, to go to outdoor cafes and or people's houses and will completely ignore other dogs there so she can meet lots of humans and sniff out new places! She doesn't live with a tiny human but has had lots of off leash interactions with them and is very very good with them!

When it comes down to it, Willow-Girl just loves humans! She will do best in a family because that means more humans! While she loves to be pet by humans, she understands when you have to do something, so she can chill on her own (still close by though) and or quietly watch you if it's something exciting (like unload the dishwasher- she wants to make sure all the food is gone!).

Willow would do best with an adopter who would keep her active. She needs exercise and stimulation so someone who likes to go hiking with a leashed dog, or take long walks or has a swimming pool-- she likes swimming. Even a backyard for her to play in would be great.
