Hi there!  My name is Buttercup and I’m waiting patiently for my new home.  I have been with Lucky Lab for at least six months and I don’t understand why my kennel neighbors keep going to their new homes but I’m still here.  I would love to be a family dog…I would love to be YOUR family dog.  Let me stop whining about the foster life and tell you about me!

I am about a year and a half old.  That’s perfect for you because I’m mostly out of the ruff puppy days (you might call them the terrible two’s if you have two legged children).  Don’t get me wrong…I still have a lot of energy.  Do you like to run or go on hikes?  I would LOVE to be a running partner.  I would LOVE to be YOUR running partner.  Are you into dogs with good looks?  Well check me out…I have a beautiful brindle color on my sides.  Obviously I’m not a purebred lab, but that just means I can offer the love of multiple breeds.  Do you have other dogs? I like other dogs! There are several dogs at the Lucky Lab kennels that I get along with very well.  I’m somewhat of an alpha girl so I may do better with another pup who is not as bossy as me.  Someone told me not to call myself bossy, but to emphasize my leadership skills…there you go!  I’m a LEADER DOG!  Do you like dogs who know tricks and have good manners?  I would really like to be THAT dog.  I would love to attend obedience classes and get treats when I’m a good girl.  You know what I love more than anything?  Good scratches.  You can see how much I love a good scratch in my video.  I’m getting excited just thinking about the scratches that you can offer me.

I love seeing my kennel neighbors leave and go to their furever homes but a part of me is disappointed every time it’s not me.  I’ve been a foster long enough and you’ve been Buttercup-less long enough.  Let’s get the show on the road so you can ADOPT ME!

Buttercup is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and kept on monthly preventatives.  If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application on www.luckylabrescue.com and indicate “Buttercup” in the notes section.
