Foster

Becoming a Lucky Lab foster parent is the single most rewarding way you can help homeless labs. Without foster homes, Lucky Lab Rescue cannot rescue many of the labs that need our help. Quite often we are forced to turn down dogs because there are no foster homes available. We could dramatically increase the number of labs we save by continually adding new foster homes.
Fostering can be challenging at first but in the end extremely rewarding. Most of the labs we bring into Lucky Lab Rescue have been in a shelter with very little attention or obedience training. If you are interested in fostering, you will probably need a lot of patience and have the ability to provide tender

loving care as well as firm instruction and directions for your foster.

But when you see a dog through the whole phase of rescue (from shelter dog to loving foster dog) it can be one of the greatest experiences for a family or any individual wanting to help a homeless dog find a better life.

If you are interested in fostering, please send an e-mail to kathy@luckylabrescue.com and in the subject line enter "Fostering."

Success Story: Duncan

DuncanDuncan bounded off the transport van and into my life in October 2008. His immense energy, unconditional love, and gentle soul have added so much love and joy to my world. Duncan enjoys nothing more than playing ball, taking a swim, and going for long hikes. At the end of a day, he loves to cuddle on the couch - he is my hundred-pound lap dog! There isn't a day that goes by that I am not eternally grateful to Lucky Lab for saving Duncan and bringing us together. - Christy Glover
